David is a HIV and Sexual Health doctor and an Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He also holds honorary appointments at the University of the Witwatersrand and the Botswana Harvard Health Partnership. David's research focuses on advanced HIV disease, particularly cryptococcal meningitis. David was the lead doctor for the AMBITION trial and is the co-Chief Investigator of the upcoming ADVANCING-CM trial of adjunctive interferon gamma for people with HIV-associated cryptococcal meningitis.
